Style: Fast Rock
City Lights is a fast rock tune I wrote several years ago for jazz combo. This big band arrangements has an open solo section with changes in the first alto, first trumpet and first trombone. A piano, guitar and/or bass part would also be appropriate for this high energy arrangement. Although there is no auxiliary percussion part, players are encouraged to add additional percussion instruments for excitement. I believe this tune would make a great opener to any jazz band concert.
