The title is intended to indicate that a band is ready to play more mature sounding works and get away from the usual literature for beginning bands. A few technical notes: 1. The f horn part is doubled throughout. 2. There is only one trumpet part, although there are some divisi moments. 3. The bell part, although most effective on bells, may be played or doubled on any mallet instrument. The chime part is optional as well. 4. Although not notated in the score, the bari sax and bass clarinet parts are derived from the tuba part and edited for range.
